Currently, Kosmos warehouse is supplying and distributing 6 brands of laminate flooring to the Vietnamese market, including: Egger (Virtue), Robina (Malaysia), Thaixin (Thailand), Povar (VN),  Kosmos (VN), Galamax (VN).

Steps to handle water-damaged laminate flooring

Laminate flooring brands that apply a flood warranty policy include: Egger Aqua (1000 hours), Robina Aqua (10 days). As long as the wooden floor is not flooded for more than the allowed time, it can still recover after applying the following steps:

B1 Call the contractor immediately to quickly remove the laminate flooring from the waterlogged area.

B2 Use a dry towel to wipe each laminate flooring slat and then spread them in a cool, windy place to dry for 5 days.

B3 After drying for 5 days, the laminate flooring should recover and can be reinstalled normally. If any plank is damaged beyond repair during the removal and installation process, we will replace that plank.

Note: 

• The cost of removing and installing a flooded wooden floor is: 50.000 - 60.000 VND/m².
• In case you are dealing with a flooded floor and require floor dismantling in another area, you need to negotiate the cost with the Agent (construction unit), however does not exceed 60.000 VND/m².
• When the wooden floor is slightly flooded, just use a fan to dry it for 5 days, the floor surface will restore itself to its original state.

In case the wooden floor warranty policy applies

1. Customers must install and use the product for its intended purpose, following the standards and recommendations provided by the manufacturer.
2. Wooden floors warp, shrink, and discolor under normal use conditions.
3. Damage to the product must be visible to the naked eye.
4. The purchase receipt or warranty certificate must remain intact (not torn, patched, altered, or repaired).
5. The product is still within the warranty period.
6. Wood floors are interior goods - flooring applications.
7. Robina, Robina Aqua, Egger Aqua wooden floors have a termite warranty of no more than 10 years.
8. Robina Aqua wooden floors are guaranteed to be flooded for no more than 10 days.
9. Egger Aqua wooden floors are guaranteed to be submerged for no more than 1000 hours.

In case the laminate floor is not covered under warranty

1. Customers do not install and use the product for the correct purposes, standards and recommendations of the manufacturer.
2. The wooden floor is damaged due to an error from one side construction units and customers, for example:
   – Shrinkage and warping due to flooding.
   – Warping due to not leaving expansion space, causing wall irritation.
   – Color fades when exposed to direct sunlight (UV rays) for too long.
3. Damage to the product that is not visible to the naked eye.
4. The purchase or warranty card is no longer intact (crumpled, patched, erased or repaired).
5. The product exceeds the warranty period.
6. Wood floors are for interior use - do not install outdoors.
7. Product wear and tear during use.
8. Product damage due to force majeure events (natural disasters, fires, etc.).
9. The product is damaged due to the customer arbitrarily disassembling or relocating the product.
10. Galamax, Kosmos, Povar, Thaixin, Egger wooden floors do not have termite warranty.
11. Galamax, Kosmos, Povar, Thaixin, Egger, Robina wooden floors do not have a flood warranty.
12. Wooden floors are worn or cracked due to flooding (applicable to wooden floors that do not have a flooding warranty).
13. Customer does not maintain/maintain properly.
