Warranty policy for wall panels of Kosmos VN

Warranty policy for plastic wall panels including conditions, procedures, manuals, installation instructions and warranty period. Please read the information carefully to protect your rights.

Currently, Kosmos plastic wall panels are warranted for 5 years, applied to the following specific product lines:

Nano panels, Kosmos fluted panels, wood-imitation plastic slats, ceiling slats (4 of these products share 1 coupon).
Stone grain PVC panels.
Korean waves.

Warranty period for plastic wall panels

The lifespan of plastic wall panels distributed by Kosmos Vietnam can be up to 10-15 years, so customers can be assured of product quality.

Warranty note:

The warranty period is effective from the date of issuance of the warranty certificate.
The product is covered by a one-time warranty only.
Kosmos only warranties the product when installed according to the recommended guidelines.
The contractor will provide warranty coverage for installation and technical issues.

Conditions for applying warranty policy for plastic wall panels

1. Customers install and use according to the manufacturer's intended purposes, standards and recommendations.

2. Panels warp, shrink, deform, and crack under normal use conditions.

3. Product damage must be visible to the naked eye.

4. The purchase voucher or warranty card must be intact (not crumpled, patched, erased or repaired).

5. The product is still within the warranty period.

6. Panels are interior products - wall/ceiling applications.

Cases that are not covered by the warranty for plastic wall panels

1. The warranty claim may be denied if the customer does not install and use the product according to the intended purpose, standards, and recommendations of the manufacturer.

2. The panel is damaged due to errors from the construction unit and the customer, for example:

Under the impact of physical and chemical factors.
Color fades when exposed to direct sunlight (UV rays) for too long.

3. Product damage is not visible to the naked eye.

4. The purchase receipt or warranty certificate is not intact (torn, patched, altered, or repaired).

5. The product is beyond the warranty period.

6. Cladding is for interior use - do not install outdoors.

7. Wear and tear of the product during use.

8. Damage to the product due to force majeure events (natural disasters, fires, etc.).

9. Damage to the product caused by customer's own disassembly, relocation, or handling.

10. Customers using acid glue will corrode the product, causing the surface to be convex.

11. Customer does not maintain/maintain properly.

Recommendations for construction/installation of plastic wall panels

Each type of plastic panel will have different installation procedures, specifically as follows:

Kosmos Nano / fluted panel

A. Before construction

The surface to install the panel must be flat, or installed on a skeleton.
The distance between frames does not exceed 500mm (if any).

B. During construction

Install the panels in the correct position and direction.
Install by applying specialized glue evenly to the back of the panel and using stainless steel glue to fix it. A 3000mm (3m) long panel requires 6 stainless steel keels.
Use double-sided tape to secure the sheet while waiting for the specialized glue to dry.
Use molding and splints to cover the panel's cut surface to prevent insects and dust from entering.
The plate connection location needs to be placed on the skeleton (if any).

Stone grain PVC panels

A. Before construction

The panel installation surface must be flat, or installed on a thin frame.
The distance between frames does not exceed 500mm (if any).

B. During construction

Install the panels in the correct position and direction.
Install by applying specialized glue evenly to the back of the panel.
Use double-sided tape to secure the sheet while waiting for the specialized glue to dry.
You can nail or use a nail gun at a high position, hidden by molding.
The plate connection location needs to be placed on the skeleton (if any).

Korean fluted panel

A. Before construction

The surface to install the panel must be flat, or installed on a frame that is not too hard because nails must be nailed into the groove to fix it.
The distance between frames does not exceed 500mm (if any).

B. During construction

Install the panels in the correct position and direction.
Install by applying specialized glue evenly to the back of the panel and shooting nails into the recess of the panel to secure.
Use double-sided tape to secure the sheet while waiting for the specialized glue to dry.
Use molding and splints to cover the cutting surface/locking seam of the panel to ensure aesthetics.
The plate connection location needs to be placed on the skeleton (if any).

Recommended after constructing/installing plastic wall panels

1. Do not drag heavy, sharp or pointed objects on the surface of the panel.

2. Do not use sharp objects to clean the panel surface.

3. Only use very little diluted detergent for cleaning.

4. Use a wrung-out damp cloth to wipe the panel, do not pour water directly.

5. Do not let rainwater splash onto the panel.

6. The appropriate temperature for the panel should not exceed 50°C, should not be placed near a place with a high heat source (eg: coal stove, gas stove,...).

7. Proper maintenance to increase product life.
