What is 2-layer wood plastic?

2-layer wood plastic (2-layer wood plastic coated with Polymer) is an improved outdoor decoration product with a unique two-layer structure. Inside is a WPC wood plastic core (containing wood powder, HDPE plastic and additives), the outside is covered with a high-grade Polymer coating that is simultaneously extruded with the WPC core, creating a tightly bonded two-layer structure.

Polymer coating (0,1 – 0,8mm) offers the following 4 outstanding advantages:

Instructions for constructing 2-layer polymer-coated wood plastic

Harsh outdoor spaces require workers to install 2-layer polymer-coated wood plastic composites according to the supplier's recommendations. Each product line such as flooring, panels, slats, etc. will have different installation procedures.

2-layer wood plastic slats need to have iron threaded into the core during construction. With an expansion rate of 5-10%, we need to leave a gap of 5-8mm at both ends. The slats are fixed to the column through L-shaped iron brackets.
2-layer wood plastic panels need to be installed on a frame with dimensions ≥ 25x25mm and thickness ≥ 1,2mm. A gap of 7-10mm must be left at the joint with the wall for expansion.
2-layer wood plastic flooring needs to be installed on a frame size ≥ 30x30mm and thickness ≥ 1,4mm. The maximum distance between 2 frames is 350mm and needs to be installed at a 2-3% slope for drainage.

Warranty Activation

The installation unit must provide the project address along with images/videos confirming correct installation procedures. Additionally, the customer’s information (name, phone number, email) must be submitted so that Kosmos can complete the warranty registration on behalf of the customer.

Warranty Response Within 24 Hours

Once the information is received, Kosmos will issue and activate the warranty certificate. The certificate will be sent to the installation unit or directly to the customer via email.
