Safety warning for 2-layer polymer-coated wood plastic panels

A. Before installing 2-layer polymer-coated wood plastic panels

It is necessary to ensure drainage capacity for 2-layer polymer-coated wood plastic panels (2-layer wood plastic) avoid flooding

Wall/ceiling surfaces must be solid, flat, and free of peeling or cracking.

Wall cladding construction size: Wall width ≤6m and wall height ≤3m

Horizontal ceiling installation dimensions: Ceiling width (depth) ≤6m, ceiling width ≤3m

Vertical ceiling installation dimensions: Ceiling width ≤6m, ceiling width (depth) ≤3m

If the size of the structure exceeds the above limits, Kosmos recommends Switch to using 2-layer ASA-coated wood plastic panels
B. During the construction of 2-layer polymer-coated wood plastic panels
Skeleton Warning

Material by Stainless steel or galvanized steel size ≥25x25mm and thickness ≥1.2mm

Distance between bone bars ≤25cm (≤250mm)

The distance between the two double ribs is 5 mm

The frame needs to leave a gap from the wall/ceiling 7 - 10mm

Vertical panels with horizontal bars and horizontal panels with vertical bars

Ceiling tiles skeleton has degree tilt slightly outwards from 2 – 3%

Required distance between 2-layer polymer-coated wood-plastic ceiling and poly, glass, and corrugated iron roof from 30 – 50cm

Between 2-layer wood plastic ceiling and poly roof, glass, corrugated iron, It is necessary to install an additional layer of insulation material. (eg: silver foam 5mm or more, corrugated iron, plastic foam)

The welds need to be polished and painted with anti-rust paint
Warning about 2-layer polymer-coated wood plastic panels

The first OP156 panel needs to be fixed on the frame by a specialized stainless steel pin right at the positive groove.

Screw stainless steel screws into the negative groove of the 2-layer panel, not into the positive groove.

The distance between the 2 connectors of the 2-layer wood-plastic panel at the double rib is 5mm.

Panels are about 7 - 10mm from walls and ceilings.

If the last panel is cut, it is necessary to reinforce another piece of wood on the frame to screw the panel together with the wood and frame.
Warning about V-shaped moldings covering polymer wood panels and frames

When covering the edges of the panel with wood-plastic V-shaped strips, at right angle positions, the V-shaped strips need to be cut according to 45° angle

Use glue and stainless steel screws with umbrella head and tail to fix the V-shaped strip onto the 1-layer wood-plastic panel and frame.

Use glue and nail gun with copper nails to fix the V-shaped strip onto the 1-layer wood plastic panel and frame.
Warning about copper screws and nails

Always pre-drill before screwing stainless steel.

Material: 304 stainless steel screw

The distance between screw holes when shooting on the panel is equal to the distance between the ribs. ≤25cm

Distance between screw holes when fixing V-shaped strip to 2-layer Polymmer-coated wood-plastic panel ≤30cm

Distance between nail holes when fixing V-shaped strip to 2-layer polymer-coated wood-plastic panel ≤10cm
C. After construction of 2-layer polymer-coated wood plastic panels

For fresh stains, use a mild detergent (pH 5 – 8)

For stubborn, old stains, you can use products such as alcohol, kerosene, white wine or bleach diluted to five percent. (5%)

Do not use sharp objects to clean stains on 2-layer wood plastic panels.

Periodically every 3-6 months, check if the screws are loose or the frame is rusty. If so, notify the contractor.
