Do I need to calculate shrinkage when buying a brace?
You should plan to buy 5-10% more length than calculated. In actual construction, the molding often has to be cut at corners, joined or installed around the door, so there will be some loss.
Do I need to choose the same color as the floor?
Not required. Same tone molding helps to create seamlessness, while choosing a slight contrast (e.g. light floor – dark molding) creates a prominent border, suitable for modern style.
Do plastic strips fade over time?
After 5 years, the film will fade slightly if exposed to heat or direct sunlight. Avoid installing in strong sunlight. Cleaning with a damp cloth will keep the color longer.
Can thin vinyl flooring use the same skirting as wooden flooring?
No. Vinyl flooring is 4-6mm thick, wooden flooring is 8-12mm thick. You should choose a strip that matches the thickness of the floor to fit tightly.
Can Kosmos wooden floor moldings be installed in humid areas such as kitchens or near balcony doors?
Yes. Kosmos wooden floor molding is made of PVC plastic to help prevent moisture and mold.
When should I use a T, F, or V brace?
T-shaped molding connects two floors; F-shaped molding covers the end edge; V-shaped molding hugs the right angle. Three types of coordination help the finished floor to be neat, uniform in color and luxurious.
Can F-bracket be replaced with baseboard?
No. Baseboard cannot replace F-brackets unless the panel end is against the wall.

Not difficult if done correctly. Glue the base, then tap the cover in place with a rubber mallet. For tile floors, use glue only – avoid using nails to avoid damaging the tiles.
Can I install vinyl floor skirting at home?
Yes, if the position is straight, with little corner cutting or no need to curve.
Will the splint loosen or bend after use?
It is possible if the glue is applied incorrectly or the ground does not meet construction standards. Before construction, the ground must be cleaned, the flatness must be 2mm/1m, the glue must be applied evenly and let it dry naturally so that the strip adheres firmly and does not come loose.
How to clean and maintain splints?
Use a damp cloth or diluted solution to wipe the surface. Avoid sharp objects, direct sunlight, and temperatures above 50°C. Check the adhesive strength every 3-6 months.
