What is the purpose of the NC80-D black aluminum baseboard connector?
The NC80-D connector is an accessory used to extend two wires. CT80-D black aluminum skirting board When the wall length exceeds 3000mm – the length limit for each trim strip. This product solves the problem of visible gaps between the two ends of the strips, which are unsightly and create weak points for dust and water to penetrate. The NC80-D is uniformly black, without causing visual disruption for the viewer.

What problem does the NC80-D connector solve?
The NC80-D connector creates a tight, black mechanical seal at the connection point.
Each CT80-D baseboard has a fixed length of 3000mm (3 meters). However, many walls are actually longer than this:
- Apartment building hallway: 8-15 meters.
- Hotel lobby, office: 10-30+ meters.
- Villa living room: 5-8 meters.
- Vertical walls in showrooms and shops: 6-20 meters.
When the wall is longer than 3 meters, it is necessary to use two or more skirting boards joined together. At the point where the two ends of the boards meet, if no finishing accessories are used, the following will appear:
- Visible gap: The two cut ends cannot be joined perfectly → leaving a gap of 0.5-2mm, creating a "bright line" between the black strips.
- Accumulation of dust and moisture: The gaps are where fine dust and floor cleaning solution get behind the microfiber cloth.
- Weak connection: The two ends of the bar have no physical connection, making them prone to shifting and becoming misaligned over time.

What are the specifications of the NC80-D aluminum wool connector?
| Characteristic | Value |
| Color | Black – matching the CT80-D yarn. |
| Function | Connect the two ends of the yarn along the same straight line. |
| Mechanism | Mechanical fastening with sole lock – no glue required. |
Note: NC80-D is used when two bars are aligned on the same wall. If the two bars curve at an angle, use an inner corner pin (GTC80-D) or an outer corner pin (GNC80-D). If the bar stops completely, use a left/right end pin (DC80A-D/DC80B-D).
Is installing the NC80-D connector complicated?
The NC80-D construction process is simple with 3 steps:
- Attach the base locks to the wall. Base locks are required at the connection points (base lock at the end of bar 1 and base lock at the beginning of bar 2, gripping the two sides of the latch).
- Install the NC80-D pin between the two base locks at the connection point.
- Insert the wool strip into the base lock, aligning it with the latch.
The entire joining process takes about 2-3 minutes per point. No glue or soldering is needed.

How to clean and maintain the NC80-D connector?
The NC80-D connector is located in the middle of the wall, is less subject to impact than the outer corner, but requires regular maintenance.
- Wipe with a soft, damp cloth while simultaneously cleaning the felt strip – paying attention to the gaps between the pins and the felt on both sides.
- Use a pH solution between 6 and 8 – avoid strong acid/alkaline solutions that can cause corrosion.
- Do not use abrasive materials such as sandpaper, scouring pads, or abrasive powders.
- Check every 6 months for any looseness or gaps in the latch. If a small gap is detected, re-press it or check the base lock.
- Grease/food stains should be cleaned immediately.
Detailed video of black aluminum skirting board and connecting accessories:
The black NC80-D connector is an indispensable accessory when installing CT80-D aluminum baseboards on walls longer than 3 meters. The product creates a tight, consistent black connection – maintaining a continuous black metal trim regardless of wall length. In hallways, lobbies, or showrooms with dozens of meters of straight walls, the NC80-D is the key factor that distinguishes professional installation from amateur work.
