This is the optimal choice for constructions requiring high fire prevention standards. Refer to the price list now Rockwool Panel so you can choose the price that suits your needs.
What is Rockwool Panel?
Rockwool Panel is a 3-layer insulation panel consisting of galvanized steel and mineral wool core. The product is specialized for factories, cold storages and constructions requiring high fire resistance. The highlight of this type of panel is its good heat insulation, sound insulation and fire resistance thanks to the core layer made of rockwool fiber.
Rockwool Panel has many thickness options from 50mm to 200mm. The thicker the panel, the better the insulation and fire resistance.
According to a survey by the Vietnam Institute of Construction Materials published on February 28, 2025, "More than 62% of newly built factories in southern industrial parks choose Rockwool Panels for walls and roofs."
Overview of the structure of Rockwool insulation panel
Standard Rockwool panel has 3 tightly bonded layers with a total thickness of 50-200mm (0.4-0.6mm galvanized steel sheet - mineral wool - 0.4-0.6mm galvanized steel sheet):
- Two outer faces: It is galvanized iron coated with electrostatic paint 0,4 - 0,6mm thick. These two layers of iron are locked with male and female joints to help the panel to be sturdy and not deformed during the installation process.
- Middle core: Mineral wool is produced from Basalt and Dolomite rocks melted at high temperatures, then spun and pressed into blocks. Density is usually about 32 -120kg/m³, helping the material achieve high hardness and stable fire resistance.
Thanks to this structure, Rockwool panels ensure both effective insulation and soundproofing, while minimizing the risk of fire spreading in case of an accident.

Outstanding advantages of Rockwool Panel
With 6 main advantages of thermal insulation (λ = 0.036-0.045 W/mK), fire resistance (60-180 minutes), sound insulation (25-40 dB), high durability, safety and environmental friendliness, Rockwool Panel becomes a popular material in industrial construction.
Effective insulation: Thanks to the tightly compressed mineral wool core, the panel has a low thermal conductivity coefficient (λ ≈ 0,036 – 0,045 W/mK), helping to keep the interior space cool in the summer and limit heat loss in the winter.
Thanks to its effective insulation ability, Rockwool Panel helps save 15-25% of cooling energy for projects such as cold storage, factories and clean rooms.
Fireproof safety: Rockwool is made from melted basalt and dolomite, the material itself is non-flammable and highly heat resistant. Normally, Rockwool panels have a fire resistance of 60 to 180 minutes depending on the core thickness (50-200 mm) and mineral wool density (~32-120 kg/m³).
When used as walls, ceilings or roofs, Rockwool Panels can withstand temperatures up to 1.000°C and limit the spread of fire in the event of an accident.
Good sound insulation: Thanks to the dense interwoven mineral fiber structure, Rockwool Panel has the ability to reduce sound transmission and absorb noise very well (reduce 25 - 40 dB), effective with machinery and traffic noise.
This is a suitable advantage when applied in factories, laboratories, residential areas near traffic roads or airports. The space inside becomes quieter and more pleasant.
High durability, easy to reuse: Compared to EPS core with density of 8-20kg/m³, Rockwool has density 4-12 times higher (32-120kg/m³). Thanks to that, the product is sturdy, less deformed and has a long life (30 - 50 years).
When dismantling or expanding a project, Rockwool Panel can reuse up to 90-95% of the area while still maintaining the insulation quality, helping to save costs for the investor.
Environmentally friendly and health safe: Rockwool panels do not contain formaldehyde, asbestos or toxic chemicals. The material also has low moisture absorption, limiting the growth of mold and algae, thereby maintaining a clean and fresh environment for the project.
Fast construction, easy maintenance: Rockwool panels are lightweight, easy to transport and install. Construction of Rockwool panels takes 2-3 days/100m², 30-40% faster than reinforced concrete walls (4-5 days/100m²).
In addition, the color-coated corrugated iron surface on the outside is easy to clean, helping to keep the building clean and enhancing aesthetics.

Applications of Rockwool Panel in construction
Rockwool panels are widely used in construction:
- Factory: Helps the working space maintain a stable temperature, reduces the risk of fire and explosion, and improves worker safety.
- Warehouses and cold storage: Limits mold and dust, while protecting goods from external temperature impacts.
- Public construction: Suitable for schools, hospitals, shopping malls… where fireproofing and soundproofing are required.
- Business and service establishments: Rockwool panels are also used for coffee shops, offices, showrooms... ensuring both aesthetics and saving electricity costs thanks to their heat retention ability.
According to a survey by Kosmos Vietnam published on June 15, 2025 with 200 agents: "85% of industrial customers rate Rockwool Panels as helping to reduce 15-25% of monthly cooling electricity costs".

How much is the price of Rockwool Panel?
Depending on the thickness, the price of Rockwool Panel ranges from 290.000 - 420.000 VND/m² (excluding accessories, construction costs, VAT). The price is updated on the market in August 2025.
| Rockwool Panel Classification | Reference price |
| 50mm thick plate | ~290.000 VND/m² |
| 75mm thick plate | ~350.000 VND/m² |
| 100mm thick plate | ~420.000 VND/m² |
Questions related to fireproof Rockwool Panel
Are Rockwool panels recyclable?
Rockwool panels are recyclable. Mineral wool can be recovered and re-pressed, and galvanized steel sheets can be 100% recycled after dismantling.
Is PU panel as fireproof as Rockwool panel?
While Rockwool Panel can withstand heat above 1.000°C and fire resistance from 60-180 minutes, PU Panel can only fire resistance standard B1PU panels are suitable for civil home decoration applications with basic fire resistance requirements.
