Tool
7 tools needed to prepare for constructing 2-layer ASA-coated flat-profile wood-plastic panels for ceiling cladding include:
- Angle grinder, drill, welder
- Tape measure, angle ruler
- Laser machine, nail gun.

Step 2: Create a joint between the ceiling and the frame using iron anchors
The process of creating a joint between the ceiling and the frame using iron anchors includes 3 steps:
- Using a drill, drill into the ceiling.
- Insert iron plugs into drilled holes
- Tighten the anchor bolts until the connections are secure and strong.
1.1. Vertical ceiling panels Using a drill, drill into the required ceiling. Distance between drill holes ≤35cm horizontally and ≤50cm vertically. At the locations where the double crossbars are installed, holes need to be drilled at intervals. 5mm horizontally. | 1.2. Horizontal ceiling panels Using a drill, drill into the required ceiling. Distance between drill holes ≤35cm vertically and ≤50cm horizontally. At the locations where the double crossbars are installed, holes need to be drilled at intervals. 5mm vertically. |
4 common types of iron anchors: 6mm, 8mm, 10mm and 12mm, corresponding to 4 types of drill bits: 6mm, 8mm, 10mm and 12mm.
Step 3: Build the skeleton
1.1. Vertical ceiling panels Using a welding machine, weld the bone bar firmly according to Horizontal into the iron plugs already on the ceiling, the distance between the bars ≤350mm (≤35cm) horizontally. (The weld needs to be smoothed and painted with anti-rust paint) | 1.2. Horizontal ceiling panels Using a welding machine, weld the bone bar firmly according to vertical into the iron plugs already on the ceiling, the distance between the bars ≤350mm (≤35cm) vertically. (The weld needs to be smoothed and painted with anti-rust paint) |
**Attention:
- Frame material: Stainless steel bar or galvanized steel bar with size ≥25x25mm, thickness ≥1.2mm.
- The frame needs to leave a gap of 7-10mm from the wall to install the ASA wood-plastic V-bracket. This is also a safe distance for the frame and the 2-layer ASA-coated wood-plastic panel to expand.
- At the position where the 2 panels are joined, a double rib must be installed. The distance between the 2 double ribs is 5mm.
- The skeleton has a slight outward tilt of 2 – 3%.
Step 4: Install 2-layer ASA-coated wood plastic panels onto the frame
ASA flat profile wood panels at Kosmos Vietnam have 2 codes: OP140X12 (thick and long hem) , and OP113X16 (short hem)These two codes require different construction methods when cladding onto the frame.
Install OP140X12 panel onto the frame
5 steps to install 2-layer ASA-coated wood plastic panels OP140X12 vertical ceiling on the skeleton:
- Apply specialized glue to the crossbar before installing the panel.
- Install the first wood-plastic panel's positive groove against the wall, with the negative groove facing outward (install the panel from left to right or from right to left depending on the installer).
- Drilling and screwing stainless steel fish tail into the groove to fix the panel on the rib (the distance between the screw holes is equal to the distance between the ribs). ≤35cm)
- Install the male groove of the second panel into the screwed negative groove of the first panel and fix the second panel onto the crossbar at the negative groove.
- Repeat the same steps above for each panel until the ceiling is full.

Kosmos recommends
At the joint position, the panels need to be placed on double ribs, the distance between 2 double ribs is 5mm and the distance between 2 ends of the ASA-coated 2-layer wood-plastic panel is 5mm.

5 steps to install 2-layer ASA-coated wood plastic panels OP140X12 horizontal ceiling panel on the skeleton:
- Apply Kosmos exterior adhesive to the crossbar before installing the panel.
- Install the first wood-plastic panel's male groove against the wall, with the male groove facing outwards (Kosmos recommends installing the panel from the inside out).
- Drilling and screwing stainless steel fish tail into the groove to fix the panel on the frame (the distance between the screw holes is equal to the distance between the frame bars).

Install ASA OP2X113 16-layer wood plastic panel on the frame
5 steps to install 2-layer ASA-coated wood plastic panels OP113X16 vertical ceiling on the skeleton:

*Kosmos recommends
To ensure the wood plastic ceiling is durable and beautiful, rainwater does not accumulate inside and cause mold, you need to install a "water pipe" to ensure the durability of the ceiling.
A water line is a line that is usually raised with mortar on balconies and loggias. A water cut-off strip/water hook can be used instead. This detail prevents rainwater from flowing back into the ceiling.

ASA-coated 2-layer wood plastic panels, in addition to ceiling panels for balconies and porches, customers can also Construction of 2-layer ASA-coated wood plastic panels for horizontal and vertical wall cladding.
