Instructions for installing 2-layer ASA-coated fluted wood plastic wall panels

ASA coated 2-layer wood plastic wave panels (4S184X28, 5S169X14, 8S169X14) When constructing wall cladding, there are 2 main cases including:

  • Vertical wall cladding, horizontal bar installation
  • Horizontal wall cladding, vertical rail installation.

ASA coated 2-layer wood plastic wave panels weigh 3,3kg/bar - 4,2kg/bar, can be mounted directly on the wall under wall conditions indoor , and flat.

In case of outdoor wall cladding, it is required to construct on a skeleton system and the distance between the skeleton bars is ≤35cm. The skeleton system of ASA wood plastic ceiling cladding is made from stainless steel or galvanized steel bars with dimensions ≥25x25mm, thickness ≥1,2mm.

Tool

7 tools needed to prepare for construction of 2-layer ASA-coated fluted wood-plastic wall panels include:

  1. Angle grinder, drill, welder
  2. Tape measure, angle ruler
  3. Laser machine, nail gun.

Step 2: Create a joint between the wall and the frame using iron anchors

The process of creating a joint between the wall and the frame using iron anchors includes 3 steps:

  1. Using a drill, drill into the wall of the house.
  2. Insert iron plugs into drilled holes
  3. Tighten the anchor bolts until the connections are secure and strong.
Vertical wall cladding

Using a drill, drill into the wall, requiring distance between holes. ≤35cm horizontally and ≤50cm vertically.

At the locations where the double crossbars are installed, holes need to be drilled at intervals. 5mm horizontally.

Horizontal wall cladding

Using a drill, drill into the wall, requiring distance between holes. ≤35cm vertically and ≤50cm horizontally.

At the locations where the double crossbars are installed, holes need to be drilled at intervals. 5mm vertically.

4 common types of iron anchors: 6mm, 8mm, 10mm and 12mm, corresponding to 4 types of drill bits: 6mm, 8mm, 10mm and 12mm.

Step 3: Build the skeleton

Vertical wall cladding

Using a welding machine, weld the bone bar firmly according to Horizontal into the iron plugs already on the wall, the distance between the bars ≤350mm (≤35cm) horizontally. (The weld needs to be smoothed and painted with anti-rust paint)

Horizontal wall cladding

Using a welding machine, weld the bone bar firmly according to vertical into the iron plugs already on the wall, the distance between the bars ≤350mm (≤35cm) vertically. (The weld needs to be smoothed and painted with anti-rust paint)

** Kosmos recommends:

  1. Frame material: Stainless steel bar or galvanized steel bar with size ≥25x25mm, thickness ≥1.2mm.
  2. The frame needs to leave a gap of 7-10mm from the wall to install the ASA wood-plastic V-brace. This is also a safe distance for the frame and the 2-layer ASA-coated fluted wood-plastic panel to expand.
  3. At the position where the 2 panels are joined, a double rib must be installed. The distance between the 2 double ribs is 5mm.

Step 4: Install fluted ASA wood plastic panel onto the frame

ASA wood plastic corrugated panels at Kosmos Vietnam have 3 codes: 4S184X28, 5S169X14, 8S169X14 requirements when constructing ke.

5 steps to install ASA coated 2-layer fluted wood plastic panel vertical wall paneling on the skeleton:

  1. Apply Kosmos exterior adhesive to the crossbar before installing the panel.
  2. Install the first fluted wood panel along the wall vertically, with the groove facing outwards (install the fluted panel from left to right or from right to left depending on the installer).
  3. Mount ke specialized in the negative groove, then fixed to the frame with stainless steel screws right at the keel (the distance between the screw holes is equal to the distance between the frames). (≤35cm)
  4. Install the male groove of the second panel into the screwed negative groove of the first panel. Attach the bracket to the negative groove of the second panel and fix it with stainless steel screws right at the bracket.
  5. Repeat the same steps above for each panel until the end of the wall.
5. Repeat the same steps above for each panel until the end of the wall.
5. Repeat the same steps above for each panel until the end of the wall.

5 steps to install ASA coated 2-layer fluted wood plastic panel horizontal wall panel on the skeleton:

  1. Apply Kosmos exterior glue to the rib before installing the fluted panel.
  2. Install the first ASA wood plastic panel fluted male groove facing the ground horizontally, the negative groove facing up (install the fluted panel from bottom to top)
  3. Attach the specialized bracket to the recessed groove, then fix it to the frame with stainless steel screws right at the bracket (the distance between the screw holes is equal to the distance between the ribs). ≤35cm)

** Kosmos recommends:

  1. Need to drill pilot holes before screwing into the groove fixing bracket of the ASA wood plastic fluted panel
  2. At the position where the panels need to be joined, the joint must be placed on the rib. If the rib is not large enough to fix both ends at the same time, it is necessary to install 2 ribs close together, each rib is 2mm apart and 5 ASA fluted panels connected together are also 2mm apart.

Step 5: Cover the edges of the fluted ASA panel with wood plastic V-shaped strips to complete.

Cover the exposed fluted panel ends with ASA wood plastic V-shaped strip (V35X45). Please note that at right angles, the V-shaped strip needs to be cut at a 45° angle.

There are 2 ways to fix the wood plastic V-shaped strip onto the fluted panel and the crossbar.

Option 1: Use glue and fishtail screws, distance between screw holes ≤350mm (≤35cm).
