Warranty policy for German imported Egger wooden floors, water resistant
Policy Egger laminate flooring warranty provide full information such as: Instructions for use, notes on installation, cases where the warranty policy cannot be applied, procedures and necessary conditions to apply the policy. Kosmos Vietnam is distributing 2 lines of Egger wooden floors: Egger Classic and Egger Aqua. The quality warranty period for both lines of Egger wooden floors is 2 years, except for the Egger Aqua wooden floor line which is warranted for 10 hours of flooding and 1000 years of termite warranty.

Steps to handle when Egger Aqua wooden floor is flooded
As long as the Egger aqua wooden floor is not flooded for more than 1000 hours, it can still be restored after applying the following steps:
B1 Call the Dealer (construction unit) immediately to quickly remove the Egger Aqua wooden floor from the flooded area.
B2 Use a dry cloth to wipe each Egger Aqua wooden floorboard and then spread them in a cool, windy place to dry for 5 days.
B3 After drying for 5 days, the Egger Aqua wooden floor will recover and be reinstalled normally. If any bar is damaged during disassembly and cannot be restored, we will replace it with a new one.
Note:
- The cost of removing and installing a flooded Egger Aqua wooden floor is 50.000 - 60.000 VND/m².
- In case the Egger Aqua floor is flooded and there is a need to dismantle the floor in another area, you need to negotiate the cost with the Agent (construction unit), however does not exceed 60.000 VND/m².
- When Egger Aqua wooden floor is slightly flooded, just use a fan to dry it for 5 days, the floor surface will automatically recover to its original state.
When to apply Egger Laminate flooring warranty policy
- Customers install and use Egger wooden floors for the correct purposes, standards and recommendations of the manufacturer.
- Egger wooden floors warp, shrink, and fade under normal use conditions.
- Damage to Egger laminate flooring must be visible to the naked eye.
- The Egger laminate flooring purchase receipt or warranty card must be intact (not crumpled, patched, erased or repaired).
- Egger Laminate flooring is still under warranty.
- Egger Laminate flooring is an interior product - flooring application.
- Egger Aqua wooden floors are warranted against termites for no more than 10 years.
- Egger Aqua wooden floors are guaranteed to be submerged for no more than 1000 hours.
Cases where Egger Laminate flooring warranty policy is not applicable
- Customers do not install and use Egger wooden floors for the correct purposes, standards and recommendations of the manufacturer.
- Egger Laminate flooring is damaged due to a fault from the side. construction units and customers, for example:
– Shrinkage and warping due to flooding.
– Warping due to not leaving expansion space, causing wall irritation.
– Color fades when exposed to direct sunlight (UV rays) for too long. - Damage to Egger laminate flooring is not visible to the naked eye.
- The Egger laminate flooring purchase receipt or warranty card is no longer intact (crumpled, patched, erased or repaired).
- Egger laminate flooring beyond warranty period.
- Egger Laminate flooring is for interior use only – not for outdoor installation.
- Wear and tear of Egger laminate flooring during use.
- Egger wooden floors are damaged due to force majeure (natural disasters, fires, etc.).
- Egger wooden floor is damaged due to customer's unauthorized disassembly or relocation of the product.
- Egger Classic Laminate flooring does not have a termite warranty.
- Egger Classic laminate flooring does not cover flooding.
- Egger wooden floors have gaps or gaps due to flooding (applicable to Egger Classic wooden floors, no warranty for flooding).
- Customers do not properly maintain/care for Egger wood floors.
Recommendations for construction/installation of Egger wooden floors
A. Before installing Egger wooden floor
- To adapt Egger wooden flooring to the construction site, we must open the box at the construction site 48 hours before installation.
- The ground surface is flat, the difference is not more than 2mm/1.000mm (1m).
B. During the installation of Egger wooden floors
- Leave a gap of 15 – 18mm between the Egger Classic wooden floor and the wall.
- Leave a gap of 12 – 15mm between the Egger Aqua wooden floor and the wall.
- Foam floor panels must not be stacked on top of each other.
- Install Egger wooden floor panels in the correct position and direction.
- The first row of Egger laminate flooring must be straight and level. Install the two rows staggered with a minimum offset of 200mm.
- Egger Laminate flooring locking grooves must be tightly fitted to avoid groove running.
- Do not use an iron hammer to tap directly on the wort and make sure the pad does not damage the wort.
- Do not use glue because Egger laminate flooring has the property of expansion.
- Use disconnecting/connecting braces to divide areas with length and width > 7.000mm (7m).
C. After installing Egger wooden floor
- Do not drag heavy, sharp or pointed objects across Egger wooden floors.
- Do not use sharp objects to clean Egger wooden floors.
- Only use very small amounts of diluted detergents to clean Egger wood floors.
- Use a damp, wrung-out cloth to clean Egger wooden floors, do not pour water directly.
- Do not let rainwater splash/flood into the house.
- Suitable temperature for Egger wooden floor is not more than 50°C, should not be placed near high heat sources (eg: coal stove, gas stove, ...).
- Proper maintenance increases the life of Egger laminate flooring.
