Installation guide for round fluted wood-plastic composite ceiling panels with 2-layer ASA coating.
ASA coated 2-layer wood plastic wave panels (3ST195X30) When installing ceiling panels, there are two main scenarios:
- Vertical ceiling panel, horizontal bar installation
- Horizontal ceiling panel, vertical frame installation.

The ASA-coated, double-layered wood-plastic composite (PVC) slats weigh 5kg/slat (195x30x3000mm). When installing outdoor ceilings, they must be constructed on a frame structure with a spacing of ≤30cm between the slats. The ASA wood-plastic ceiling frame is made from stainless steel or galvanized steel bars with dimensions ≥25x25mm and a thickness ≥1,2mm.

Step 1: Prepare materials and tools for installing the ASA wood-plastic round fluted panel ceiling.
Supplies
You need to prepare the following 8 materials to install a ceiling panel with 2-layer ASA-coated fluted wood plastic panels:
- Skeleton bars (stainless steel, galvanized steel) size ≥25x25mm and thickness ≥1.2mm
- Round wave-shaped wood-plastic composite slats with 2 layers of ASA coating (3ST195X30)
- ASA wood plastic V-shaped strip (V35X45)
- Iron anchor
- Stainless steel screw with pee tail
- Ke
- Copper nail
- Kosmos exterior glue.

Tool
7 tools needed to prepare for the construction of ASA 2-layer fluted wood plastic ceiling panels include:
- Angle grinder, drill, welding machine,
- Tape measure, angle ruler
- Laser machine, nail gun.

Step 2: Create a joint between the ceiling and the frame using iron anchors
The process of creating a joint between the ceiling and the frame using iron anchors includes 3 steps:
- Using a drill, drill into the ceiling.
- Insert iron plugs into drilled holes
- Tighten the anchor bolts until the connections are secure and strong.

4 common types of iron anchors: 6mm, 8mm, 10mm and 12mm, corresponding to 4 types of drill bits: 6mm, 8mm, 10mm and 12mm.
Step 3: Build the skeleton

** Kosmos recommends:
- Frame material: Stainless steel bar or galvanized steel bar with size ≥25x25mm, thickness ≥1.2mm.
- The frame needs to leave a gap of 7-10mm from the wall to install the ASA wood-plastic V-brace. This is also a safe distance for the frame and the 2-layer ASA-coated fluted wood-plastic panel to expand.
- At the position where 2 fluted panels are joined, a double rib must be installed. The distance between the 2 double ribs is 5mm.
- The skeleton has a slight outward tilt of 2 – 3%.
Step 4: Install the 2-layer ASA-coated round fluted wood-plastic panels onto the frame.
The ASA wood-plastic composite panel with rounded wave profile at Kosmos Vietnam has the code: 3ST195X30 requirements when constructing ke.
1. Apply Kosmos exterior adhesive to the frame before installing the cladding panels.
2. Install the first ASA fluted panel with the male tongue facing the wall, with the female tongue facing outwards. Leave a gap of 7-10mm between the fluted panel and the frame (For vertical installation, install the fluted panel from left to right or right to left depending on the installer. For horizontal installation, install the fluted panel from inside to outside).
3. Attach the specialized bracket to the tongue and groove joint, securing it to the support beam with stainless steel screws (the distance between the screw holes should match the distance between the support beams). ≤30cm).
4. Apply Kosmos exterior adhesive to the frame to continue installing the second round ASA fluted panel.
5. Attach the male groove of the second fluted panel to the female groove of the first panel, which has already been screwed in. Attach the corner bracket to the female groove of the second fluted panel and secure it with stainless steel screws at the bracket.
6. Repeat the above steps for each panel until almost the entire ceiling is covered.
7. Measure, cut, and secure the final panel to fit the frame.
Kosmos recommends
At the joint position, the panel must be placed on a double rib, the distance between 2 double ribs is 5mm and the distance between 2 ends of the ASA-coated 2-layer fluted wood-plastic panel is 5mm.
Step 5: Cover the edges of the panel with wood-plastic V-shaped strips and you're done.
Cover exposed fluted panel edges with ASA wood plastic V-brackets (V35X45). Please note that at right angles, the V-shaped strip needs to be cut at a 45° angle.
There are 2 ways to fix the wood plastic V-shaped strip onto the panel and the frame.
Option 1: Use glue and fishtail screws, screw holes ≤350mm (≤35cm).

Option 2: Use glue and nail gun with copper nails, nail holes ≤100mm (≤10cm).

To ensure the wood plastic ceiling is durable and beautiful, rainwater does not accumulate inside and cause mold, you need to install a "water pipe" to ensure the durability of the ceiling.
A water line is a line that is usually raised with mortar on balconies and loggias. A water cut-off strip/water hook can be used instead. This detail prevents rainwater from flowing back into the ceiling.
