Instructions for installing 5-wave ASA plastic louvers under glass, polycarbonate, and corrugated metal roofs.
Install 5-wave ASA plastic louvers under glass, corrugated iron, or polycarbonate roofing (code G-5S190X20) by securing the tongue and groove joints with stainless steel brackets and screws. The panels are connected to each other via tongue and groove joints on the panel edges.
The ASA G-5S190X20 plastic wave louvers weigh 3,45kg/piece, making them lightweight, but they still require a frame structure for installation on the ceiling.
The frame structure for constructing ASA plastic fluted panels must meet the following four conditions:
- Durable material: Galvanized steel bars or stainless steel bars.
- Sturdy dimensions: Bar thickness ≥1,2mm, side length ≥25mm.
- Safe distance: Distance between bars ≤30cm.
- Construction in the correct direction: The support beams must be installed perpendicular to the direction of the panel installation. Specifically, for vertical panel installation, install horizontal support beams; for horizontal panel installation, install vertical support beams.

Step 1: Prepare tools and materials for installing the ASA G-5S190X20 5-wave plastic louvers. under glass, polycarbonate, and corrugated iron roofs
8 essential materials needed when installing ASA G-5S190X20 5-wave plastic louvers. under glass, polycarbonate, and corrugated iron roofs the:
- Reinforcing bar (material: stainless steel, galvanized steel; dimensions: side ≥25mm, thickness ≥1,2mm)
- 5-wave ASA plastic lamella (G-5S190X20)
- ASA plastic V-shaped trim (G-V45X45)
- Insulation materials (silver foam 5mm or more, heat-insulating corrugated iron, plastic foam)
- Stainless steel flathead screws (using the flathead to securely fasten the screw to a rigid support beam)
- Copper nail
- Kosmos Exterior Glue
- Stainless steel kettle

Step 2: Construct an additional frame structure to install the 5-wave ASA plastic louvers under the glass, polycarbonate, or corrugated iron roof.
Construct a new frame layer (stainless steel or galvanized steel, each bar has the following dimensions) ≥25 x 25mm, thickness ≥1,2mm). At the connection point of 2 panels, 2 double ribs with a distance of 5mm are needed.
Vertical ceiling panels Using a welding machine, weld the ribs firmly with the distance between the ribs. ≤30cm horizontally, the weld needs to be smoothed and painted with anti-rust paint. | Horizontal ceiling tiles Using a welding machine, weld the ribs firmly with the distance between the ribs. ≤30cm vertically, the weld needs to be smoothed and painted with anti-rust paint. |

Step 3: Install the insulation material onto the frame.
After having a new skeleton system, install a layer of insulation material (silver foam 5mm thick or more, heat-insulating corrugated iron or plastic foam) on top of this skeleton and fix it with glue or stainless steel screws.

Step 4: Weld the new frame onto the existing frame for the glass, polycarbonate, or corrugated iron roof.
Weld the new frame (a frame with pre-installed insulation) to the existing frame of the glass, polycarbonate, or corrugated iron roof.
- The weld should be smoothed and painted with anti-rust paint.
- The distance between the new frame and the glass, polycarbonate, or corrugated iron roof should be 300-500mm.
- The frame is slightly sloped outwards by 2-3% to prevent rainwater from seeping back in.
- The gap between the frame and the wall (if any) is 7-10mm. This is a safe distance to allow for the expansion of the frame and the ASA plastic cladding panels.

Step 5: Install the ASA plastic 5-wave louvers onto the frame.
Secure the 5-wave ASA plastic louvers (G-5S190X20) to the ceiling frame using Kosmos exterior adhesive, brackets, and stainless steel screws, specifically:
- Apply adhesive to the frame before installing the cladding panels.
- Place the fluted ASA panel (G-5S190X20) in the position where adhesive has been applied to the frame.
- Attach the brackets to the grooves of the fluted panel, and secure the panel to the frame by drilling screws into the holes in the brackets.
- Install a male tongue and groove joint to conceal the female tongue and groove joint of the ASA plastic panel.
Perform the process of securing the female and male tongue-and-groove joints continuously until the entire wall surface is covered. A gap of 7-10mm should be left at the end point against the wall for installing the V-shaped trim.

Step 5: Cover the edges of the ASA G-5S190X20 fluted plastic panel ceiling with V-shaped trim.
There are two ways to secure the V-shaped trim to the ASA G-5S190X20 fluted plastic panel during construction. bare the:
- Secure the trim with adhesive and stainless steel screws (flip-top/fish-tail type), with the screw holes spaced ≤300mm (≤30cm).
- Secure the trim with adhesive and a nail gun, ensuring the nail holes are spaced ≤100mm (≤10cm) apart.
Note: When joining V-shaped trim strips at right angles, cut both ends of the trim strip at a 45-degree angle.

*Kosmos recommends
To ensure the durability and aesthetic appeal of ceiling panels made from ASA 5-wave plastic, and to prevent rainwater from accumulating and causing mold, customers should install additional "water strips" to ensure the ceiling's longevity.
A water line is a line that is usually raised with mortar on balconies and loggias. A water cut-off strip/water hook can be used instead. This detail prevents rainwater from flowing back into the ceiling.

In addition to ceiling panels, customers can also Wall cladding using fluted panel G-5S190X20.
Installation of 5-wave ASA plastic cladding. under glass, polycarbonate, and corrugated iron roofs Proper application techniques will ensure a beautiful, durable finish and a lifespan of 5-10 years.
