Instructions for installing ASA flat plastic wall panels.

Install the ASA plastic wall panels (code G-OP112X16) by securing the tongue and groove joints with stainless steel brackets and screws. The panels are connected to each other via tongue and groove joints on the panel edges.

The ASA OP112X16 plastic cladding panel weighs 3,45kg/piece, is lightweight, and can be directly installed on stable walls such as interior walls or walls with a flat surface (difference in height not exceeding 2mm/1m).

Exterior ceiling and wall cladding projects must be constructed on a frame that meets the following four conditions:

  1. Durable material: Galvanized steel bars or stainless steel bars.
  2. Sturdy dimensions: Bar thickness ≥1,2mm, side length ≥25mm.
  3. Safe distance: Distance between bars ≤30cm.
  4. Construction in the correct direction: The support beams must be installed perpendicular to the direction of the panel installation. Specifically, for vertical panel installation, install horizontal support beams; for horizontal panel installation, install vertical support beams.

Step 1: Prepare the tools and materials for installing ASA plastic wall panels.

The 8 essential materials needed when installing ASA plastic wall panels are:

  1. Reinforcing bar (material: stainless steel, galvanized steel; dimensions: side ≥25mm, thickness ≥1,2mm)
  2. ASA plastic cladding panel (G-OP112X16)
  3. ASA plastic V-shaped trim (G-V45X45)
  4. Iron anchor
  5. Stainless steel flathead screws (using the flathead to securely fasten the screw to a rigid support beam)
  6. Copper nail
  7. Kosmos Exterior Glue
  8. Stainless steel kettle

The 7 essential tools needed when installing ASA plastic wall panels are: angle grinder, drill, welding machine, laser level, measuring tape, protractor, and nail gun.

Step 2: Insert the metal anchors into the wall, creating a connection between the wall and the frame supporting the ASA plastic cladding panels.

We need to create a connection between the wall and the frame supporting the ASA plastic cladding panels using metal anchors. The specific steps are as follows:

  1. Drill holes in the wall using a drill.
  2. Insert the metal anchor into the drilled hole.
  3. Tighten the anchor bolts.

Metal anchor bolts are typically sized 6–12mm, and the drill bit should match the anchor bolt diameter.

The spacing between the anchors corresponds to the spacing of the reinforcing bars, for example:

In the case where the bone is horizontal
The distance between the two wall plugs width ≤30cm.
The distance between the two wall plugs length ≤50cm.
Case where the bone is oriented VERTICALLY
The distance between the two wall plugs length ≤30cm.
The distance between the two wall plugs width ≤50cm.

Note: For the installation of the double support beam (5mm spacing between the two beams), the required spacing between the two anchors is as follows: 5 mm.

Step 3: Erect the frame when installing ASA plastic cladding panels for exterior walls.

To secure the frame to the wall, we weld the frame bars to the metal anchors.

The framework for installing ASA plastic cladding panels for exterior walls needs to meet the following 7 requirements:

  1. Made of stainless steel or galvanized steel bars.
  2. The dimensions of the bone strips are ≥25mm.
  3. Bone thickness ≥1,2mm.
  4. The spacing between the reinforcing bars should be ≤300mm (≤30cm).
  5. The spacing between the double bone bars is 5mm.
  6. The welded joints of the support beams need to be sanded smooth and coated with anti-rust paint.
  7. The gap between the frame and the wall is 7-10mm for installing the ASA plastic V-shaped trim.

Step 4: Install the ASA plastic cladding panels onto the frame on the wall.

Secure the ASA plastic cladding panel (G-OP112X16) to the wall frame using Kosmos exterior adhesive, brackets, and stainless steel screws, specifically:

  1. Apply adhesive to the frame before installing the cladding panels.
  2. Place the ASA plastic sheet (G-OP112X16) in the position where glue has been applied to the frame.
  3. Attach the brackets to the grooves of the cladding panels, and secure the panels to the frame by drilling screws into the holes in the brackets.
  4. Install the male tongue and groove joint to conceal the female tongue and groove joint of the ASA plastic cladding panel.

Perform the process of securing the female and male tongue-and-groove joints continuously until the entire wall surface is covered. A gap of 7-10mm should be left at the end point against the wall for installing the V-shaped trim.

Case 1: Installing ASA plastic cladding panels onto a horizontal (vertical) frame.

Here are 3 things to note when installing ASA G-OP112X16 plastic cladding panels onto a horizontal frame:

  1. G-OP112X16 wall panel for vertical installation.
  2. Install the wall panels flush against the wall, from left to right or right to left.
  3. The male groove of the first panel faces the wall, and the female groove faces outwards.

Here are 3 things to keep in mind when installing ASA plastic cladding panels onto a vertical frame:

  1. Horizontal ASA plastic cladding panels.
  2. Install the panels from bottom to top.
  3. The male groove of the panel faces downwards, and the female groove faces upwards.

Step 5: Install the V-shaped trim to cover the edges of the ASA plastic panel wall.

There are two ways to secure the V-shaped trim to the ASA plastic wall panel installation:

  1. Secure the trim with adhesive and stainless steel screws (flip-top/fish-tail type), with the screw holes spaced ≤300mm (≤30cm).
  2. Secure the trim with adhesive and a nail gun, ensuring the nail holes are spaced ≤100mm (≤10cm) apart.

Note: When joining a V-shaped trim at a right angle, cut both ends of the trim at a 45-degree angle.
