Instructions for installing wall cladding with Nano panels on a skeleton
Nano panels are flat profile plastic panels used for wall, ceiling, partition, and lamri cladding for interior spaces. from civil works to commercial works. This material has a diverse surface of wood grain, fabric grain, monochrome, etc. with a composition of 26 - 40% plastic, 50 - 70% stone powder and 4 - 10% additives, contributing to enhancing the aesthetics of the space without worrying about termites and mold.
Nano wall panels on skeleton have 2 main cases:
- Horizontal wall cladding, vertical bar installation
- Vertical wall cladding, horizontal bar installation.

Nano wall panels weigh 2 - 7,5 kg/bar. When constructing wall panels with a frame, the distance between the bars must be ≤50 cm. The Nano wall panel frame system can be made from square iron bars, plastic beams, wooden bars or aluminum plaster bars.

Below is the weight table of 5 types of Nano panels at Kosmos Vietnam:
| Product code | Dimensions (mm) | Weight |
| KNANO9 (Kosmos) | 400 x 8 x 3000mm | 7,2 – 7,5kg/bar (±5%) |
| KOP105 (Kosmos) | 105 x 9 x 3000mm | 2kg/bar (±5%) |
| K9 (Kosmos) | 400 x 9 x 3000mm | 7,2kg/bar (±5%) |
| G1 (Galawood) | 400 x 9 x 3000mm | 4,7 – 5kg/bar (±5%) |
| G9 (Galawood) | 400 x 9 x 3000mm | 5,8 – 6kg/bar (±5%) |
In this article, Kosmos will introduce 5 steps of Nano wall cladding construction on stainless steel or galvanized steel box frame.
Step 1: Prepare materials and tools for Nano wall cladding with frame
Supplies
You need to prepare the following 8 materials to construct wall cladding with Nano panels on the frame:
- Skeleton bars (stainless steel square bars, galvanized steel bars, plastic beams, wooden bars or aluminum plaster U-shaped bars)
- Nano panels (KNANO9, KOP105, K9, G1, G9)
- L-shaped end caps and skirting accessories
- Iron anchor
- Stainless steel screws
- Stainless steel kettle
- Copper nail
- Kosmos interior glue or multi-purpose glue, Kosmos A500 silicone glue.

*Note about stainless steel shelf: The bracket is made of 304 stainless steel with 1 notch to fit into the Nano panel's recess and 1 round hole to shoot stainless steel screws to fix the bracket to the frame.

Tool
8 tools needed to prepare for Nano wall cladding with skeleton include:
- Angle cutter, drill, welding machine, laser machine
- Tape measure, angle ruler
- Folding ladder
- Nail gun.

Step 2: Create a joint between the wall and the frame using iron anchors
The process of creating a joint between the wall and the frame using iron anchors includes 3 steps:
- Using a drill, drill holes into the wall at a distance of ≤50cm.
- Insert iron plugs into drilled holes
- Tighten the anchor bolts until the connections are secure and strong.
Step 3: Build the skeleton
Using a welding machine, weld the frame bars to the iron plugs already on the wall, the distance between the frames is ≤500mm (50cm). The joints need to be smoothed and painted with anti-rust paint.

Step 4: Install the Nano panel on the frame
8 steps to install Nano panels on the frame
1. Apply Kosmos interior glue or Kosmos multipurpose glue into the frame before installing the panel.

2. Install the first Nano panel's male groove close to the wall (7-10mm from the wall), the negative groove facing outwards (for vertical installation) or install the Nano panel's male groove facing the ground, the negative groove facing upwards (install from bottom to top for horizontal installation).

3. Attach the specialized bracket to the recessed groove, fix it to the frame with stainless steel screws (distance between screw holes equals distance between frames ≤50cm).

4. Apply Kosmos interior glue or Kosmos multi-purpose glue to the frame before installing the second panel.

5. Install the male groove of the second panel into the screwed negative groove of the first panel.

6. Attach the bracket to the recessed groove of the second panel and secure it with stainless steel screws to the crossbar right at the bracket hole.

7. Repeat steps 4,5,6 for each panel and stop at the last panel.

8. Measure and cut off the excess part of the last Nano panel compared to the skeleton. Then install the male groove into the negative groove of the previous panel, drill a pilot hole and screw the stainless steel to fix the last Nano panel to the skeleton.

Kosmos recommends
- It is necessary to drill pilot holes before screwing them into the groove on the Nano panel.
- A 3000mm (3m) long panel requires at least 7 stainless steel brackets.
- At the location where the panels need to be joined, the joint must be placed on the rib.
Step 5: Complete the construction of Nano panels on the frame with accessories
Cover exposed end panel edges with L-shaped end strips or skirting boards. Note that at right angles the fittings need to be cut at a 45° angle.
Finish the project with finishing strips
Used to cover the end edges of paneling, usually at door edges, wall corners or end points.
Finishing the project with baseboard
Installed at the junction between the wall and the floor, it helps cover the gap and protect the base of the wall. In addition, baseboards also have a decorative effect, creating a highlight for the space.

Nano panels can be used not only for wall cladding on the frame but also for construction directly on the wall or flat ceiling construction, 2-level ceiling.
Note: Instructions are for reference only. To have the most suitable construction plan, it is necessary to survey the specific project and come up with an optimal construction solution.
