Instructions for installing 2-level Nano plastic ceilings
Nano panels weigh 2 - 7,5 kg/bar. When installing 2-level ceiling panels, they need to be installed on a frame system and the distance between the bars is ≤50 cm. The Nano ceiling frame system can be made from galvanized steel bars, plastic beams, wooden bars or aluminum plaster bars.

Step 1: Prepare materials and tools for constructing Nano ceiling
Supplies
You need to prepare the following 8 materials to install a ceiling with Nano panels:
- Skeleton bars (galvanized steel bars, plastic beams, wooden bars or aluminum plaster U-shaped bars)
- Nano panels (KNANO9, KOP105, K9, G1, G9)
- Accessories (ceiling moldings, recessed corner strips)
- Iron rod
- Stainless steel screws
- Copper nail
- Stainless steel kettle
- Kosmos interior glue or multipurpose glue.

*Note about stainless steel shelf: The bracket is made of 304 stainless steel with 1 notch to fit into the Nano panel's recess and 1 round hole to shoot stainless steel screws to fix the bracket to the frame.

Tool
8 tools needed to prepare for 2-level Nano ceiling construction include:
- Angle cutter, drill, welding machine, laser machine
- Tape measure, angle ruler
- Folding ladder
- Nail gun.

Step 2: Construction of Nano plastic ceiling frame
The construction process of Nano plastic ceiling frame includes the following 2 steps:
- Use threaded rods to limit the ceiling: Use laser to determine drilling position, drill holes are ≤ 50cm apart.
- Welding galvanized or stainless steel bars onto threaded rods: Ensure the distance between the bars is ≤ 50cm. At the same time, clearly divide the 2 levels of the skeleton.
- Level 1: High ceiling cladding
- Level 2: Low ceiling cladding.
Kosmos recommends:
- Nano plastic ceiling with 2 levels has upper and lower steps. It is necessary to adjust the distance between the steps to ensure the durability and aesthetics of the project.
- During the welding process of the skeleton, it is necessary to re-measure to ensure the accuracy of the skeleton.
- The weld should be smoothed and painted with anti-rust paint.
Step 3: Install Nano panels on the frame for the upper ceiling system (Level 1)
8 steps to install Nano panels on level 1 frame:
1. Apply Kosmos interior glue or Kosmos multipurpose glue into the frame before installing the panel.

2. Install the Nano panel's groove inward right at the glue application area.

3. Attach the specialized bracket to the recessed groove, fix it to the frame with stainless steel screws (distance between screw holes equals distance between frames ≤50cm).

4. Apply Kosmos interior glue or Kosmos multi-purpose glue to the frame before installing the second panel.

5. Install the male groove of the second panel into the screwed negative groove of the first panel.

6. Attach the bracket to the recessed groove of the second panel and secure it with stainless steel screws to the crossbar right at the bracket hole.

7. Repeat steps 4,5,6 above for each panel and stop at the last panel.

8. Measure and cut off the excess part of the last Nano panel from the frame. Then, install the male groove into the negative groove of the previous panel. Drill a pilot hole and screw the last Nano panel to the frame.

Kosmos recommends
- It is necessary to drill pilot holes before screwing them into the groove on the Nano panel.
- A 3000mm (3m) long panel requires at least 7 stainless steel brackets.
- At the location where the panels need to be joined, the joint must be placed on the rib.
Step 4: Cover the gap between the 1st and 2nd level ceilings
Measure and cut the Nano panel with the same color as the Nano panel level 1 to fit the gap, apply glue to the frame, use stainless steel screws to fix the panel to the frame.
Step 5: Install Nano panels on the lower ceiling frame (Level 2)
When installing Nano panels on the lower ceiling frame, it is important to note that the panels should not be installed parallel to the frame. The Nano panels should be cut into sections of appropriate size to the ceiling level, then installed with the locking grooves perpendicular to the frame.
7 steps to install Nano panels on the ceiling frame above:
1. Measure and cut the first two Nano panels precisely to form a right angle at the corner of the wall. Choose a corner that is easy to work with and has little obstruction to the view.
Note: The Nano reinforcement pieces must be glued to the back of the panel at the location IS NOT coincide with the skeleton.
2. Apply Kosmos interior glue or Kosmos multi-purpose glue to the frame before installing the panel.

3. Attach the specialized bracket to the recessed groove, fix it to the frame with stainless steel screws (distance between screw holes equals distance between frames ≤50cm).

4. Apply Kosmos interior glue or Kosmos multi-purpose glue to the frame before installing the next panel.

5. Install the male groove of the next panel into the screwed male groove of the previous panel.

6. Attach the bracket to the recessed groove of the panel and fix it with stainless steel screws onto the crossbar right at the bracket hole.

7. Repeat steps 5, 6, and 7 above for each panel until the ceiling is full.

Step 5: Complete the construction of Nano ceiling panels with accessories
Cover the edges of the end panels and the drop-down areas with a coffered ceiling or recessed corner moulding. Please note that at right angles the fittings need to be cut at a 45° angle.
At the stepped position
To cover the exposed edges of the panel at the step position, the ceiling molding is a suitable choice and contributes to creating a soft curve for the ceiling.
At the junction between the ceiling and the wall
Ceiling moldings and recessed corner moldings are specially designed to handle and decorate the transition area between ceiling and wall. These accessories will help cover gaps and cracks, while softening right angles, creating a sense of seamless and more luxurious space.

Nano panels can be used not only for ceiling cladding but also for flat ceiling construction, decorative wall panels.
