Instructions for installing outdoor insulated foam panels directly onto the wall
Kosmos outdoor insulated foam panel is a decorative material for walls, ceilings, and partitions for factories, prefabricated houses, warehouses, freezers, etc. This product can be installed vertically or horizontally depending on the design.
Thanks to its light weight and pre-designed yin-yang locking system, the construction is very simple: Just use stainless steel screws to fix the Panel to the wall and add silicone glue at the contact point between the strip and the Panel. The technical requirement is that the distance between the screw holes does not exceed 50cm. For locations where heavy objects need to be hung, long nails must be used to penetrate the wall to attach the hanging object.
For your convenience, please refer to the detailed table of product colors, sizes and standard weights below.
| Product Line | Size effective | Weight | Popular colors |
| 3-groove Panel | 380x16x2900mm | 3,7kg/m² (±5%) | White, cockroach wing, lead gray, brown |
| 4-groove Panel | |||
| 7 wave panel |

Step 1: Prepare materials and tools for installing outdoor insulated foam panels
Supplies
Below are 6 types of materials you need to prepare when installing outdoor insulated foam panels directly onto the wall:
- Insulated foam panel
- Accessories included (opening/ending L-bracket, connecting H-bracket, corner V-bracket)
- Plastic hatching
- Stainless steel screws
- Kosmos Exterior Glue
- Waterproof silicone glue.

Tool
Here are 5 types of tools needed for the construction process of installing outdoor insulated foam panels on the wall:
- Handheld cutting machine, drill
- Tape measure, angle ruler
- Laser machine.

Step 2: Fix the L-bracket to the wall
1. Using a drill, drill holes in the wall, continue to fill the plastic expansion joints and the drilled holes.

2. Fix the L-bracket: Drill holes through the long edge of the L-bracket that will contact the wall.

3. Use stainless steel screws to tighten the L-bracket to the wall through the plastic expansion joints installed on the long edge of the bracket.

Kosmos recommends: The distance between screw points on the L-bracket is not more than 50cm.
Step 3: Install the insulated foam panel directly onto the wall
Below are 6 steps to install outdoor insulated foam panels directly onto the wall.
1. Insert the first foam panel into the L-shaped strip, the male groove facing down, the female groove (screw groove) facing up.

2. Drill a pilot hole, install a plastic expansion joint and screw it into the negative groove of the first panel, the distance between screw holes ≤50cm.

3. For constructions with a width greater than 2,9m, it is necessary to use H-brackets to connect the panels. Fix the H-brackets to the wall with plastic expansion joints and stainless steel screws right at the recessed groove of the brackets.

4. Insert the end edge of the first Panel into the H-bracket, and insert the first edge of the next Panel into the H-bracket.

5. Install the male groove of the second Panel into the female groove of the first panel, drill a pilot hole, install a plastic expansion joint and screw the second Panel into the female groove.
6. Repeat the same steps above for each panel until almost the entire wall is covered.

Kosmos recommends:
- Insulation panels should be installed from bottom to top.
- Screw the panel in place at the center of the groove, avoiding the edges of the groove.
Step 4: Final Panel Processing
1. Measure and cut: Using a hand-held cutter, carefully measure and cut the Panel to the exact size of the remaining gap. If the final insulated panel is the exact size for the gap, simply cut off the recessed groove.

2. Fixed: After cutting, install and fix the adjusted size Panel to the wall with stainless steel screws (refer to the attached illustration to ensure correct technique).

Step 5: Use L-shaped or V-shaped end clips to cover the end plate screws and square the corner edges.
Method 1: Use L-shaped end strips to cover the end plate screws and handle the square corner edges.
At the last panel location, apply Kosmos exterior adhesive to the L-end strip and secure to the last panel on the wall.

At the right angle, apply Kosmos exterior glue to the strip and cover the right angle of the 2 panels.

Method 2: Use V-brackets to cover the end plate screws and handle the right-angled edges.
At the last panel position, apply Kosmos exterior glue to the V-bracket and fix it to the last panel on the wall.

Kosmos recommends: At the right angle position, the V-brace needs to be cut at a 45° angle.

At the right angle, apply Kosmos exterior glue to the strip and cover the right angle of the 2 panels.

Step 6: Apply waterproof silicone glue to the edges of the strip to complete.
Seal the gaps between the edges with specialized silicone glue. Choose glue color similar to the color of the panel/strip or transparent, white glue to ensure aesthetics.

Kosmos recommends:
1. Complete the waterproofing layer, plaster or apply waterproof glue at the bottom and top of the panels.
2. When cutting and creating air-conditioning and ventilation holes, effective waterproofing must be applied.
3. The sealant should be the same color as the surface material or transparent.
4. When drilling holes on the outer edge, avoid screwing too close to the edge, which can easily crack.
5. During construction, keep the plastic layer covering the surface and when finished, clean the surface of the panel to avoid iron filings from sticking and causing rust.
6. During construction, do not place electrical equipment near the panel to avoid danger.
Insulated outdoor foam panels can be used not only on walls but also Panel construction on the frame.
